Bin Laden's Son Weds a British Councilor
Osama Bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda, has a new daughter-in-law according to BBC News. Jane Felix-Browne, a 51-year-old parish councilor from Cheshire, England and grandmother, married Omar Osama Bin Laden aged 27 years old. “Their romance blossomed during a holiday in Egypt. They married seven months after their first meeting. Mrs. Felix-Browne was married five times before.
BBC reports that the newlywed bride won’t call herself Mrs. Jane Bin Laden but she said of her husband that “she does not care about his family background, stating she married for love.”
Mrs. Felix-Browne also said according to BBC that “her husband has always been open and honest about whom is father is. “I was with him in Egypt for a short while. I went back to England. I spoke to him between seven and 15 hours a day, every day for the past ten months. … He talked about his childhood, his life with his father of course as every son would talk about his father.”
His new British wife says that Omar Bin Laden hasn’t followed in his father’s footsteps. He’s a scrap metal dealer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. But Mrs. Felix-Browne says he’ll be comfortable coming to England because most of his aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters live there, according to BBC.
Few are surprised that Osama Bin Laden didn’t attend the wedding of his son. Nor has he met his new daughter-in-law. Omar insists that he hasn’t seen his father since 2000.
